Advantages of a plunger valve
The plug valve is a kind of quick on-off through the pipe fittings. The friction caused by the movement between the sealing surfaces under the fully open condition can altogether avoid contact with the flowing medium. It can frequently be used for the medium with suspended particles. Also, plunger valves quickly adapt to a multi-port design where the valve can have two, three, or even four different ports. It simplifies piping design and reduces the use of valve and fittings. The plug valve features long service life and high reliability. This is a good choice for many corrosive, abrasive, toxic substances, continuous operation and other media and devices widely used in the chemical industry.
Plunger valve advantages:
- One-piece top-entry body plunger valve design, simple structure, easy in-line maintenance, no leakage, and withstand a stronger Hastelloy C22 Tube The medium used in the chemical industry is highly corrosive. Therefore the valve body used in the chemical process must be highly permeable and resistant to intergranular corrosion. The plunger valve body is made of grade II steel, grade V precision steel.
- The open and closed parts, namely the plug, are completely covered by the sleeve, making the valve body and plug wear-free. The valve can be repaired and refurbished by simply replacing the economical bushing and top seal. Here it can meet long-term performance requirements in high-temperature environments up to 300 ℃. Compared to metal sealed ball valves in the same application, it offers a significant competitive advantage.
- All parts of the plunger valve are cast one-time, except for the top and flange, valve body without machining. Compared to the ball valve, it has the advantage of low machining tolerance. The material for INCONEL, Monel Valves, HAS alloyed and other special materials provide a clear cost advantage.
- The valve plug can be customized according to the needs of users with different designs. It can be made as three ports, four ports, five ports, six ports, multi-valve groups or shroud types, etc.
- A no-clearance bonnet seal valve plug is similar to a no-clearance ball valve. It reduces the clearance between the valve ball and the valve body to a 1-3mm ball valve design. It cannot provide the benefits of a shell bonnet seal. This feature makes the plunger valve suitable for many corrosive media such as light crystallization, viscosity, catalyst particle content and corrosive fluid deposition.
Efficiency as the basis for recycling processes
Industrial gases are just as important in industry as water and electricity. The process of their production in air separators, transportation, storage and processing should also be as efficient and safe as possible.
Critical system components must function reliably throughout their entire service life and be easy and predictable to maintain. Particularly noteworthy is the application at low temperatures and oxygen, when strict requirements are imposed on the materials used and the absence of oil and grease.
A plant for the production of industrial gases contains a large number of safety valves of various sizes for Monel Tube. They range from small thermal expansion valves to huge XXL valves for high volume inlet flows. Here, their tightness is critical to the overall performance of your plant.
